what is the level of fitness to do this activity ?

Someone who has some minimum bicycle fitness and skills.

Any pre-diagnosis medical condition who prevent you from doing any aerobic activity is not advised.

what is a E-mountain bike ?

An electric mountain bike (eMTB) features a pedal-assist motor that helps you ride farther and climb hills more easily.

It’s perfect for exploring Maui’s varied terrain without overexerting yourself.

No thruttle on this bikes, top of the line bosh and shimano motors. Full size range according to your height available. Flat pedals. Close toe tennis shoes are recommended.

The bikes are full front and read suspensions, setup with plenty of gears for going uphills.

Do I need mountain biking experience ?

As long as you know how to ride a bicycle, you are good to go.

Our Experience tour is beginner-friendly and paced for comfort.

Whether it’s your first ride or you're an experienced cyclist, you’ll enjoy a safe and scenic adventure.

Our Grand Tour is a more dynamic ride, and some mountain bike experience is welcome.

Safety equipment - What should I wear and bring?

We recommend:

  • Comfortable activewear

  • Closed-toe shoes (no sandals)

  • Sunscreen and sunglasses

  • We provide helmets, gloves, knee and elbow pads, and bottled water.

  • A small backpack is useful for personal items.

What is the age or height requirement ?

Participants must be 13 years or older and at least 5 feet (152 cm) tall.

Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Where does the tour start ?

Tours begin in Maui Meadows and follow a gentle route toward the slopes of Haleakalā, offering ocean views, lush greenery, and wildlife sightings (like axis deer).

How long is the tour?

Most rides last 2.5 to 3 hours, including breaks for rest and photos.

Custom tour durations are available for private groups.

Is it safe ?

Absolutely.

Our guides are CPR-certified and experienced.

We review safety instructions and equipment with all riders before the tour begins.

I’ve never used an e-bike — is that okay ?

Yes!

We give you a full orientation before the ride.

The pedal assist is intuitive, and most riders feel confident within minutes.

What happens in bad weather ?

In the case of unsafe conditions (e.g., storms or heavy rain), we’ll reschedule or offer a full refund.

Light showers usually don’t affect the tour.
